Tracker are kindly donating a system for one of our raffle prizes.

Trackers are fitted to vehicles so that if a vehicle is stolen the owner contacts Tracker who then activate the system thereby enabling the Police from all over the country to track it.

It works on a radio signal and therefore, even if hidden in a garage, it can still be 'seen'.

Tracker supplied and fitted a Tracking device used on large business fleets to the moped we used on our ride.

This gave everyone at home the opportunity to view the progress of the ride as it passed through the country. It showed the location, speed and loads of other details that was downloaded from the system. We had many people en route telling us they were watching our progress, some even stopped us to give us some food!

We would like to give TRACKER a huge thank you on behalf of the whole BikeSafe London Team, the Isabel Hospice and Aspire Charities.

RIDE UPDATES FROM THE ROAD - By Sgt. Paul Mostyn

Sunday 31st 8.32pm WE ARRIVE AT LANDS END - WE'VE DONE IT!!!!

Tired but with very high spirits in pitch black darkness we arrive.

We drew names from a hat to see which member of the team would be the one to ride the moped over the dedicated line.
I myself was the lucky man, but as the whole exercise couldn't have happened without the whole team being involved everyone helped push the moped over the line being cheered all the way.

The whole team is glad that all has gone so well and relieved that we had no major incidents. We took a few photos during the weekend, time was of the essence so there are only a few but click here to view some of snaps.

Sunday 31st 5pm update

EMERGENCY NEWS BREAKING
69 miles outside of Lands End and we have our first problem. The moped comes to a halt and is not very well at all.
We are on the A303 just on the verge of Bodmin Moor (scarey, are we going to get the bike fixed or be eaten by the Monster!!!!).
Steve Citybloke and Bradey Gotowork get to work stripping it down and replace a shot spark plug.
Fifteen minutes later we are off again at a steady 32mph to finish our goal. PHEW....

Sunday 31st Oct mid pm

4pm Bulletin from Radio FAST......
News update from the A30 just past Okehampton, on our way to Launceston and Bodmin.
We are roughly a 100 miles from Lands End.
Currently, we have Fred Muffett on the Pan European, Ian Burchell on the moped and Neil McConnell on the Trans Alp up front.
Weather warm and fine as it has been all day, not even cold.
We lost an hour earlier but have now made that up. We hope to be there in less than 3 hours.
Everyone very happy.

Sun 31st Oct early pm

Everything still going great. Just passing Stonehenge on the A303. Using the M3 was a bonus, we were scheduled to meet the moped on at a fuel station on the route and within 10 minutes of us arriving the moped with it's two outriders came over the hill in perfect formation to meet up with us and the support vehicles. HOW RELIEVED WE WERE TO SEE THEM!!!!!
85miles from Exeter and the moped is still going great.

Sun 31st Oct 11am ish....

Just outside Andover now. Have had to go down the M3 as the A303 had a massive traffic jam. Linked up with Mick Gear from Hampshire Police who has donated 6 helmets for the Grand Raffle.
Weather has been sunny, now a bit cloudy but generally bright. Although tired we are all on a high having got this far and the finish line within reach.

Sun 31st Oct am

Called in to the Isabel Hospice in Hertfordshire and received a great welcome had a quick photo shoot and on to the ACE Cafe for another quick photo shoot!

Sat 30th Oct 9pm

We're just outside Darlington now having gone through loads of fog. Moped running well and everyone in good spirits.
It's just started raining unfortunately, which isn't a good thing.
We are 35-40 minutes ahead of schedule - great news, except that we may arrive at the Isabel Hospice too early in the morning!

Sat 30th Oct Early Eve

7pm and we have crossed the English Border - making good time with an average speed of 30mph. Bang on time for being down in London when we should be! Weather dry but chilly and a bit foggy.
Bikesafe-London team members working to a rota of riding for an hour either on the moped or one of the two outrider escort bikes, or driving one of the support vehicles.
It's non stop until we get to Penzance and we will of course be out there riding throughout the night, so you may see us en route.

Sat 30th Oct Early AM

Hi Everyone,

We are 105 miles into our challenge ride and although the weather is overcast it's quite pleasant. No incidents to report of and everything going well. Thanks for your support.
