The BikeSafe-London North Team take their Rider Skills Workshop to British Airways workers at Heathrow Airport.

More and more companies are recognising the benefit of having their employees skills assessed and improved.

Research has identified that around one third of road deaths, 20 per week, are work journey related. As a result the Health and Safety Executive and Department of Transport have produced guidance (Driving at Work) to assist businesses in reducing risks, and costs, to their staff whilst driving at work.

In implementing appropriate policies and procedures a number of companies have recognised the benefits of considering the safety and welfare of their staff travelling not only `at work` but also `to/from work`.

BikeSafe-London has therefore initiated partnerships with a number of forward thinking companies to support them in encouraging and supporting their staff to undertake BikeSafe, and in turn further training, as part of our commitment to `Working Together to make London Safer`.

The cost of a Rider Skills Day for Company's is £35.00 inc vat per rider (including lunch and a Hi Viz Tabard). This is based on using a BikeSafe-London chosen venue. However, the cost reduces to £30.00 inc vat per rider (including a Hi Viz Tabard) if the Skills Day is able to be run at a company's premises and they provide lunch.
